"It sure is amazing that nopony was hurt in all of that."
"Yes it is, also it's very lucky that that tower was marked for demolition next week."
I feel that it is important to start the description off by saying that this picture is heavily
inspired by the art for the 'Magic: the Gathering' card 'Apocalypse Hydra'(the image can be found here: images.wikia.com/powerlisting/...
This is the first time that I've ever made a picture like this before, my previous "most complicated picture" wasn't anywhere near the scale of this one.
I decided to create my own design for the hydra, rather than use the one from MLP, the reason why is because I felt that the original design wouldn't have been as menacing as I needed to pull off the intended feel of the picture. But I definitely wanted to keep it close enough that it could still be recognized as a MLP hydra. I used dragons, and snakes(mostly anacondas for the head shape) as bases for many of the features
I decided to leave out the gore factor that was in the 'Apocalypse Hydra' painting, for the reason that I don't think that I'd like making a mangled guard pony (also I didn't want to put mature content censor on it
I had three Wonderbolts flying around in this picture, but it felt way too crowded with them in it, so I took them out.
Also before someone comments on the incorrect number of heads, this isn't supposed to be the Hydra from Froggy Bottom Swamp, I'm under the assumption that the range of difference in the visual appearance of MLP hydras is similar to that of MLP dragons.
In addition, the reason that I made Twilight a unicorn, and not an alicorn, wasn't to in order to make any statement, it was because it wouldn't make any sense for her to be running if she could fly
