I know it’s been a minute or two since I last posted anything. Sometimes old memories and feelings come up and I get to wondering how the people I knew “back in the day” are doing.

So…. Sup?

Most importantly, Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you have or will have a grand and joyful Christmas Day!

Secondly... so needless to say, I very sadly did not finish this year's Trixie Vs Hearth's Warming before Christmas Day. There was just too much story and not enough time. Plus there was a family tragedy on Christmas Eve-Eve which understandably threw me off a bit,

I have two parts left to do, first being an almost finished part 7, and then part 8 to wrap it all up (maybe a part 9 if the dialogue requires more room) hopefully by New Years. Because like I said several weeks ago, not many people want to read a Christmas story in January. (And I certainly don't want to repeat what happened in 2016/17)

First off, I want to wish my fellow Americans a happy, and early, Thanksgiving.

So here we are, believe it or not Christmastime is upon us once again, and that means that another year of 'Trixie Vs. Hearth's Warming Eve' is coming too.

This will be the Seventh(?!) year of TvHWE, which in and of itself seem pretty unbelievable (Man, where has this decade gone?), but with some pretty mixed emotions I must also announce it will very likely be the last one of its kind. Though I will add that I very much hate the idea of putting a final "No more." cap onto this series that I love, and one that has been a part of my life for so long, so that isn't the case here.
There very likely may be future installments in the coming years, but I don't see any large scale multi-part stories happening after this year's finale arc.

Which brings me to the brighter part of this journal: this year's TvHWE will be the biggest one of them all! Both in length of the story, and the scope of characters and emotions. I'm not going to give anything away, but there will be some things that have been highly requested over the years. It will take place in some pretty surprising locations, and include some new, original and canon characters, and will hopefully have some completely unexpected story elements.

And of this will all begin with 'Trixie Vs. Hearth's Warming Eve' Year 7, part 1 this Friday afternoon, and hopefully I'll be able to get this all completed before Christmas Day. (because who wants to read Christmas stories in January amiright?).

Once again I'll be a vendor at Nightmare Nights Dallas and this year, very sadly, is planned to be the last one. This one will be huge too, Lauren Faust, Andrea Libman, and M.A. Larson are just some of the names that'll be there this weekend.

Being that the other cons are far away I don't know if I'll get the chance to go to any of them in the future, so this may be my last con as well. D:

So if you happen to be going there to give it the wonderful send off it deserves, stop by my table and say hi while you're there!

Santa's here! *Squee by Evil-DeC0Y

I havent kept up with the production of the movie so far so this trailer is the first time I've seen anything from it, and to be honest it was nowhere near what I was expecting.

I was expecting something more along the lines of a higher budget season finale/opener type of story, that would be inline with other movies from cartoons shows (see Equestria Girls) either catering exclusively to fans of the franchise, or almost ignoring them to try to bring in a new crowd. But this looks like it is neither, and that is great news!

I wasnt expecting such a departure from the original art style, and I'll admit that the juxtaposition between the 2d ponies and 3d back is a little jarring at first, I expect though that it will look much better when the movie is finished and you're watching it. I do really like the way the ponies look and obviously the animation is so fluid its gorgeous!

Basically this trailer had me go from "Yeah, sure I'll watch it." to very excited for it. Needless to say I do have a slight bit of trepidation that it turns out right, but for now everything is looking like it's in capable hands.
